Colorin, Colorado: PINK AND BLUE PASTELS

My second post in this mini series, COLORin, COLORado, has been inspired by a relishing simple, daily pleasure of a CUP of TEA and by the lovely illustration above from where I have created my pastel colour palette.

Colour palette

Over the years I learnt that irish people love their 'cuppa'; A cup of tea, at any time of the day, is one of the small pleasures I enjoy most. Any occasion is good to take a small break and mindfully sip, unhurried, a nice cup of brewed tea. Some like it milky, others strong, green, black, berries, minty, either way, small pleasures like this make you stop the fast paced in which we live.

I love all shades of pinks with dusty blues and greys .............

I love the rug in contrast with the softness of the table and cushions ❤︎

chalky effect, ¡ Me encanta!

Those wall plates are divine...

And you, tea or coffee? Do you like pastels in the interior of your home?

COLORin, COLORado / AMARILLO

Hola !

Hello !

I’ve decided to start a series in my blog called “COLORin, COLORado”.

Psychologically, colour is powerful and its emotional effect on people can be quite dramatic.

With Colorin, Colorado and its images I try to showcase the different options to use colour when styling interiors.

Since in the last few weeks we’ve not seen the sun around this part of the globe with lots of rain, is not surprise that the colour I feel more attracted to at the moment is yellow.

Yellow, and its different hues, is a bright, cheerful colour and is closely related to the sun. It’s a happy, cheerful colour which I’d use in small doses, as an accent colour.

So, here I leave a few of inspiring images that use yellow.

Enjoy.
